Robert Fishman has been making pottery since 1970. His functional wheel thrown work is created in his private studio located in North Scituate, Rhode Island. Robert's pots can be found today in homes across the United States and most every continent (not sure about Antarctica).
After earning his bachelor's degree in Art Education in 1974 from Rhode Island College, Robert accepted an apprenticeship at the renowned Leach Pottery, St. Ives, Cornwall, England. Robert worked and studied for two years with Bernard and Janet Leach, expanding upon the fundamentals he learned as a student at RIC under the guidance of Harriet Brisson and Richard Kenyon.
Robert opened his own studio in January of 1980.
Robert's wheel thrown pottery can be seen at one of many Fine Art and Craft Fairs he exhibits in throughout the year and also at select gift shops and galleries.
